Phil Poskitt

I'm Phil, a full-time Critical Care Paramedic within an NHS Ambulance Trust and a passionate clinical leader and educator with over a decade of experience helping healthcare professionals develop the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to deliver exceptional patient care.

Education has always been at the heart of my career. I firmly believe that when clinicians are supported, challenged and inspired to reach their full potential, the greatest beneficiaries are the patients they care for.

That's what continues to drive me every day.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of designing and delivering bespoke educational programmes for ambulance services, healthcare organisations and universities, as well as teaching nationally recognised courses for the UK Resuscitation Council (RCUK) and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT). From advanced ECG interpretation and point-of-care ultrasound to critical care, difficult airways, crew resource management and advanced life support, my goal has always been to deliver education that is engaging, evidence-based and directly applicable to clinical practice.

Working full-time on the frontline ensures my teaching remains grounded in real-world experience and reflects the challenges healthcare professionals face every day. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where delegates feel confident to ask questions, challenge their thinking and leave with knowledge and skills they can immediately apply in practice.

Through Vertex Health Advisory, my mission is simple: to provide high-quality education that empowers clinicians, promotes lifelong learning and ultimately contributes to safer, better care for every patient.
